About

the kp project is the work of Kostas Papadimakis — a curious engineer and maker. Every design begins with the mathematics of knots, transformed in code and carved on machines built in the studio, then finished by hand. What makes each piece truly one of a kind is its own combination of wood, color and design.

Two forms

The difference is the side profile. Curved pieces are domed — thicker at the center, tapering to the edge, so the face catches light softly. Flat pieces hold an even thickness across the disc, for a cleaner, more minimal look. Same knot mathematics — two characters.

Are they really one of a kind?
Yes — each is unique in its wood, color and design, and is never remade.
How big are they?
About 2–3 cm — light and comfortable to wear.
Will they bother sensitive ears?
They shouldn't — the ear wires are hypoallergenic titanium: nickel-free, light, and skin-friendly even if other earrings tend to irritate you.
What are they made of?
Natural wood — shown in its real color, never painted over. A range of exotic, characterful species, with the carved design picked out in color by hand, on titanium ear wires whose color is anodized by hand to harmonize with each piece's wood and tones.
Why are some pieces priced higher than others?
Each pair is priced for what genuinely goes into it — first the hours of hand-work, then the materials. The most involved pieces — several colors, finer detail, a rarer wood — take considerably more time and finer material than the simplest, so their prices reflect that. Nothing is marked up for its own sake — each is one of a kind, valued on its own, not all priced alike. You're paying for the making.
Why is the price different for the US and Greece?
The prices shown here are the standard prices. On Etsy, two destinations are adjusted — for honest reasons, not hidden ones: prices for the United States include the US import duty, prepaid, so nothing surprises you at delivery; and prices for Greece are slightly lower, because domestic delivery costs less than shipping abroad. Same piece, same making, same care — only the cost of reaching you differs.
How do I care for them?
Keep them dry, and store them in their box when not worn.
