The box
Every pair arrives in its own wooden box. Not packaging to be torn open and thrown away — a small wooden chest, made to be kept. Because something special should arrive in something special.
Made to protect
I’ll admit I think of the pieces as my children, and I wanted to protect them. So each box is cut to cradle that exact pair — the recess shaped to the earrings’ own profile, so they sit held and unmoving. A slip of protective paper keeps them still on the journey to you, and hidden magnets draw the lid gently closed and hold it shut.
Wood for wood
It had to be wood. I love wood — its tones, its warmth; we grew up alongside trees, and something in us still settles near them. A plastic box would be a kind of death for the living wood inside it; paper would be too slight for what it holds. Wood holding wood — the whole object, one thing. Warm symmetry, even here.
A treasure, in a chest
What I hope you feel, in the moment the lid lifts, is the old thrill of discovery — a treasure waiting in a wooden chest. Whether you’re opening it for yourself or giving it to someone you love, that moment is part of the piece. And the box is one of a kind too — it adds to the pair inside, instead of standing in for a shop.
